Summer’s Last Treat

The fruit of late summer

The lingering late summer days are still warm and natures gives us some yummy treats for our sweet tooth—like strawberries. For the warm days, making strawberry popsicles is a really refreshing treat and if the strawberries are not super “great” looking, that can be a way to ignore the imperfections of natures gifts.

For some added taste and texture

Add something chunky, chewy, savory, spicy, or something to just bring some extra fat to the popsicle to help slow down to absorption of the fructose which makes it less of a sugar-spike for you.

Here I added shredded coconut, crushed pecans (any nut will do), and the last one is chia seeds. You can add it to the blend and also cover the popsicle in it for a little hint of what to find inside.

Make it simple

A simple way to enjoy fruit is, of course, just fresh with a little nut milk. You can use any seasonal fruit this way.
