Smoothies on a Stick

An healthy summer treat!

You can easily do this, though blender and large freezer box is required. I made smaller batches to try different tastes and combinations, so if you want to make one version at a time you need to triple up the measurements below to make 10 ice-treats.

Watermelon-Peach

Smooth, sweet and surprising.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup watermelon
  • 1/2 cup peach with skin
  • 1/2 tbsp raw cacao chunks

Makes 3

Method:

Mix it all in a blender and pour into the form – stick it in the freezer and wait patiently.

To get the ice-pops out of the form, use a bowl of hot water to just slightly melt it. And then enjoy your cool treat.

Spiced Mango-Peach

This one is a creamier version:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup each mango and peach
  • 1/2 tsp each black peppercorn and dried orange peel
  • 1 cup oat-milk

Makes 3

Method:

Same procedure as above. Mix it all in a blender and pour into the form – stick it in the freezer and wait patiently. To get the ice-pops out of the form, use a bowl of hot water to just slightly melt it. And then enjoy your cool treat.

Watermelon-Berry:

This one is like the smoothie I created recently, so now you can either sip it or have it as an ice-treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup watermelon
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 3 leaves of mint

Makes 3

Method:

Same procedure as above. Mix it all in a blender and pour into the form – stick it in the freezer and wait patiently. To get the ice-pops out of the form, use a bowl of hot water to just slightly melt it. And then enjoy your cool treat.
