Energizer Popsicle

I know I know… you want a popsicle to soothe and nourish you in the summer heat, but what if it could give you that kick you want from coffee and chocolate?

So often I hear from clients that they don’t have enough energy and they rely on stimulants like coffee, chocolate and sugar to give it to them. Thing is… that is not reliable energy because it is a stimulant it makes us high, and then we fall back down and need more to keep going. When we are living healthy and nourished we have more energy because we listen to our bodies and know how to read the signs of what we need, AND we honor and respect those signs. Sure we get tired, but it is not how we feel everyday and use stimulants to get us through. Rather it might that little kick we need when extra energy or something unexpected happens where we feel we need a boost.

Being healthy

What we do after is what makes us nourished, healthy or not. I also often hear that being healthy, we expect of ourselves that we are perfect and never want, crave or eat anything in the unhealthy category. Being healthy is not either / or, it  is about having balance in our choices. So what I suggest is that you think of healthy ways to do both, have your treat and your boost, but also nourish yourself and stay healthy by not thinking… I blew – I might as well keep going. That just gets you closer to needing more boosters to keep you afloat.
